La entrega 71 de los Golden Globe Awards tiene fecha, 12 de enero de 2014, y conductoras, Tina Fey y Amy Poehler, las mismas de la ceremonia de 2013. En este galardón, que pretende premiar lo mejor del cine y la televisión, ya se conocen sus nominados y grandes candidatos. En televisión, Breaking Bad, Downton Abbey y Brooklyn 99 partieron en punta con el mayor número de candidaturas. Sorpresas: Homeland y Mad Men, las estrellas 2013, no figuran en la pista central.
En cine, arrancaron primeros 12 Years A Slave y American Hustle, con 7 nominaciones cada uno.
